Digital Project & Operations Manager
Job Description:
We are thrilled to see you here! Mountain Laurel Digital is looking for a clever, curious and intentional Digital Project and Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be navigating the constant world of algorithm changes while growing strategic digital marketing work for MLD clients.
As an Project & Operations Manager, you will oversee the implementation and success of digital marketing partnerships. You will communicate directly with clients, ensuring they have a positive and joyful experience with our agency and receive consistent and timely information and updates. You will also communicate with team members and vendors on a regular basis to ensure all goals and deliverables are met on time, on budget and are of high quality.
This position is primarily remote, though there will be some on-site work with clients and team members. Because we want to build our team locally, the ideal candidate will be based in or around the Raleigh/Triangle area.
Your Role:
Account & Project Management Responsibilities
Meet with clients to understand and determine project or retainer scope, goals and objectives
Create client proposals, scope of work, project briefs and estimates
Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks
Structure and manage integrated, multitrack performance databases for digital projects
Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including freelancers and agency partners
Assign and monitor resources to ensure project efficiency and maximize deliverables
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work plan
Develop, plan and coordinate full website builds, marketing strategies and campaigns from start to finish:
Develop and manage a detailed work plan and timeline
Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
Consult with necessary team members to make informed decisions (e.x.: working with content team to determine appropriate content for paid media landing pages)
Manage internal team for digital campaigns and website builds. Monitor progress and various departments’ task loads, making adjustments as needed
Directly oversee and sign off on all work to ensure that materials adhere to client guidelines and are in line with the current brand strategy
Project Operations Responsibilities
Communicate project or retainer updates on a consistent basis to the necessary stakeholders (clients, internal team, vendors, etc.)
Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
Analyze project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
Required skills and qualifications
Four or more years of project management experience and project management softwares, MLD utilizes Asana, Slack, and Notion
Experience in managing website projects and marketing campaigns for maximum efficiency under an established budget
Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
Proven success working with all levels of management
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Organizational Growth and Development Support for MLD:
Research demand for our products and services.
Work closely with our leadership team to outline long-term, sustainable growth for clients through digital strategies and proper goal-setting and evaluation
Continuous industry research, remaining updated on digital trends and providing valuable insights and collaboration to the owner for business strategy development
Important Skills:
An ability to lead engaging, consultative and impactful meetings (in-person and remote) with clients and internal team members
Strong public speaking and presentations skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An ability to make connections with others and build trusting relationships
Collaboration, delegation and conflict management skills
Strong organizational, time management and analytical skills
Data analysis and reporting experience
Budgeting, scoping and forecasting experience
Familiarization with project management tools (ex: ASANA) and dashboards
Working knowledge of digital marketing practices
Base Knowledge of SEO, Paid Media, Analytics and Website Development (Digital Marketing World)
Three to five years of project/account management experience
Prior agency experience is preferred
